To: All Fifth Grade Singers at Delta Kelly, Brewster, Musson,
Meadow Brook, and Long Meadow
You are invited to perform “The Star Spangled Banner” with the Adams
High School Marching Band, Van Hoosen and West Eighth Grade Bands, Van Hoosen Choirs and Adams High School Choirs at the Adams High School football game on Friday, September 28th.
All fifth grade students, who are participating, need to be accompanied by a parent or designated adult. If you are coming to watch your child perform and then leaving immediately after, you do not need to pay for a ticket.
Fri September 28th
4:30pm Rehearsal on the football field.
5:30pm Eat dinner – either tailgating/picnic or if it’s raining, we’ll eat inside
6:15pm Line up by the bus loop behind the band to walk onto the field
6:55pm Perform the Star Spangled Banner. (5th graders will exit the stadium in a group, meet parents at the corner inside the fence across from the ticket box, then leave or stay for the game with parents or a designated adult.)
Please meet your child at the corner inside the fence across from the ticket box on the south side of the stadium after we perform. For safety reasons, I need parents to come see me to let me know their child is now in their care and I will check them out on my list. In years past, I’ve stayed and made phone calls to make sure the students who forgot to check out were safe and sound. Thanks!
We will have time to eat between rehearsals. You are welcome to bring your own snack, or you can include $5 with your participation slip and we will have pizza delivered at Adams as well as drinks and fruit.
(I will need a few parents to help get the pizza and drinks set up while we are practicing on the field. Please send me an email if you are able to help. Thanks!)
Behavior at the Rehearsal and Performance
It is a privilege and honor to be performing with the middle and high school students. The 5th graders need to remember they are guests at Adams High School. They are to follow all school rules. Any students displaying any inappropriate behavior at any time will be asked to call their parents and to leave immediately. (I know this won’t be an issue for any of the Delta Kelly students.)
Performance Attire—All students from all schools will be wearing black pants/shorts and a white shirt. Be sure to dress appropriately for the
